Updated portfolio
In addition to all the work on school this week, and being ill for two days I have managed to update my portfolio with some new projects and gave it a little redesign – nothing big but I felt that it needed a more subtle color scheme, the old one just took too much attention and in some occasions made my work look bad. As you probably can see, it has similarities with this blog!

I also finished Kalle Gustafsson’s new portfolio. Had a great time doing this, and I can’t think of something better to do then working with a photographer like Kalle. Check out his new portfolio.
Logo of the day award
Today I recieved an e-mail from Logo From Dreams Award, and they were saying that the logo I did for my Hyper Island admission assignment has recieved an award – “Logo Of The Day Award for October 13, 2008″.

Thank you so much!
This is great fun for me, and really inspires me to continue my work when it comes to designing logos
My internship?
Next year in August I will probably be on my way to a new city, hopefully in the U.S. Next year in August I will have 7 months of internship, hopefully at a kick-ass bureau.
This is a little list-to-self, a list of the places I’d like to spend my internship.
Hopefully, the list will be expanded as I’d like to have a few options and I guess I have to mention that I don’t necessarily think that these bureaus are just longing for me – this is the list of the places I would like to go.
One of the criterias I have for adding a bureau to the list it that it has to look like they love what they are doing. They have to have a portfolio full of eye candy, unique eye candy that don’t look like everything else we see on the net.
If you have any suggestions to this list, please write me a comment.
PS: I’d love, love, love to have my internship in San Francisco.
My exam
Last week I had my final exam, the end of the twelve years at school. As for the task, we had to make a poster and DVD-cover for a new (fictional) movie called “29 skudd”. And for clearification: the Swastika is there because the film’s plot is about a gang of neo-nazis.

New work in my portfolio
The week before easter we got our final exam at school. The task was to design a new identity for Oslo Reptilpark (Oslo Reptile Park). It would have to include a logo, a color palette and 3 objects (like t-shirt, shopping bag etc) designed with the new identity.
Although stressful and at times frustrating I did learn a lot. Working with short deadlines is really fun and can actually give a better result than working on a project over 3 months - it’s all about getting that idea fast. (more…)
