Last week I made this poster for an art exhibition for students, by students. 1-day job, all digital in Photoshop.

While browsing the internet you find a lot of good designers. They might be great at illustrations, some have an amazing eye for colors and some take typography and effects to the next level. The difference between a good designer and a great designer is often found when you go through their whole portfolio. Now, let me show you a great designer.

The week before easter we got our final exam at school. The task was to design a new identity for Oslo Reptilpark (Oslo Reptile Park). It would have to include a logo, a color palette and 3 objects (like t-shirt, shopping bag etc) designed with the new identity.
Although stressful and at times frustrating I did learn a lot. Working with short deadlines is really fun and can actually give a better result than working on a project over 3 months - it’s all about getting that idea fast.
For those who haven’t heard about Scott Hansen, ISO50 or Tycho you’re clearly missing out on something if you’re interested in graphic design, web design or great electronica. Scott Hansen is a freelance designer and artist from San Francisco. He is one of my favorites and his style is something special. The way he combines and old with new gives his art something special. His page is worth a visit, and as I’ve said in an earlier post about music, so is his electronica!

I’m a person that listens to a lot of music, although “lot” can mean two things. Alot of different artists, or a lot of the same music. In my case I do listen to alot of the same music over and over again, but I’m always interested in filling my iPod up with some new music.
HDR pictures can be amazing to look at, but I have trouble finding pictures that still seem realistic and not like an unrealistic but amazing 3D-render. This picture was featured in Smashing Magazines latest post (35 Fantastic HDR Pictures) and I fell in love with it. It’s crisp, it has great colors and catches lightning and mood perfectly. .
